Special thanks to our faculty (Chung, Epp, and Vaughan), UBC organizing committee, and vendor LifeCanvas Jeff Stirman for a successful course.   For videos of the talks click here. What an amazing course, we taught nearly 60 people something about these emerging methods in both a hands-on and lecture format. The highlight for me was the golfball sized cleared mouse brain Kwanghun Chung expanded in his hotel room using Vancouver tap water!

Hands-on workshop on Brain Clearing and Expansion with Kwanghun Chung from MIT (developer of CLARITY), Joshua Vaughan from University of Washington, and Jonathan Epp from Toronto/Calgary on July 12th 2017 in the UBC Koerner Pavilion (Brain Research Centre and NINC, Koerner Pavilion 1st floor).  They will present these emerging methods and there will be a hands-on component using material prepared in a "cooking show" fashion (partially cleared to save same time).  Cleared brain data analysis and microscopy will be addressed by scientists and several leading vendors LifeCanvas.

UBC organizing committee: Tim Murphy, Jeff LeDue, and Ann Marie Craig with input from trainees Matilde Balbi, Claire Bomkamp, and Eli York
